My name is Phillip Jackson and I hope to be a Graphic designer. This is my Blog. I hope you have as much fun looking through it as I did making it; it was a new experience for me and I really enjoyed creating my Blog.
I want to study Graphic Design because it is something I love. I have wanted to do Graphics from a really early age and now having the opportunity to study it further is something that not only excites me but also intrigues me. It intrigues me because you never know what you will be asked to do next. I see Graphics as a broad topic that can be taken in many different directions and that is another thing I love about it. Graphic Design is a subject I feel very passionately about as it offers me so much creative freedom I can be myself and incorporate my own imagination into my personal design work. I would love to go to Manchester Metropolitan University because it has an excellent reputation as one of the best in Creative Arts. I believe that I would not only learn a lot from the tutors but I would also learn a great deal from the other talented students that go there.
My work is a mixture of Art and Graphics work but as you may see that sometimes you can hardly tell the difference between the two. My favourite piece of work is probably Green Day- Sex, Drugs and Album Art. I enjoyed drawing it at first then playing around with different versions on Photoshop. I have included work from all units of my Art and Graphics. I have selected a few different types of images some clean cut some more expressive but all in all I have chosen the pieces of design work that I believe shows my ability as a well rounded designer and individual. So I hope you enjoy browsing through my work. Thank you and happy viewing!
